EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS

WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker

The Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), through our network of America’s Job Centers of California (AJCCs) and partners, prepares residents of Los Angeles County to succeed in the job market. This is done through a combination of education, training, career counseling, and support services provided through our funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

The funding through WIOA program aims to serve adults, dislocated workers, and youth with the goal to assist you in finding employment. Through our partners in AJCCs, we have case managers who will work with you to develop your career plan. We offer multiple training and employment support services, ranging from resume help, preparing for interviews, or learning a new trade skill at no cost to you.

Some of the services offered under WIOA are:

  • Job search and placement assistance
  • Referrals to and coordination of activities with other programs and services
  • Workforce and labor market employment statistic information
  • Training, education, and rehabilitation provider performance and program cost information
  • Local Area Performance information
  • Information on and referral to supportive services
  • Financial aid eligibility assistance
  • Information on unemployment compensation

Our professional job center staff will provide more detailed information regarding program eligibility and program services. If you are looking for employment or training, or want more information about this program, please contact your local AJCC.
