  • How can I receive updates on the AJCCs and its events?

You can visit this website regularly or follow us on social media platforms under the handle @County2Work – we’re on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter!

  • What are the requirements to enroll in one of the programs?

The requirements vary based on the program. Most will require that you to have some form of a government-issued identification and the right to work in the United States. However, there are some exceptions for Person Paying Support. Please contact your local AJCC.

  • What is the nearest AJCC to me?

LA County has 21 AJCCs across the region, and is partnered with other agencies that provide workforce services. You can find the nearest one to you here.

  • Will the AJCC help me with my bills or work expenses?

The AJCCs have funding set aside to assist individuals with the purchase of work-related equipment or help with bills. However, given the different requirements of each workforce program, you will first need to meet eligibility requirements to enroll. Following enrollment, your career planner will determine whether or not the financial assistance is both allowable and reasonable.

  • Will the AJCC pay for my training course?

AJCCs have a variety of workforce programs that can assist you financially with training and there may be trainings at no cost to you. However, in addition to meeting eligibility requirements, our AJCCs will assess you, create an individual employment plan, and help you determine whether the training is appropriate. There are several factors that will determine whether the AJCC can provide financial assistance.
